Budding Eggsperts in Claridge's Masterclass

Claridge’s Executive Chef, Martyn Nail, will be showing six budding chefs how to poach, boil and fry eggs to perfection in a cookery masterclass at the famous hotel this Autumn.


The competition to win a place in the masterclass was launched by British Lion eggs to celebrate British Egg Week in October, attracting hundreds of entries on the Wake up to Eggs website.


The winners are set to pick up some tricks of the trade from Martyn, who cooks more than 6,500 eggs every week – nearly 350,000 a year.


The competition was launched after research commissioned ahead of British Egg Week showed that, while eggs are a firm favourite for breakfast, the nation still struggles to cook with them.


The masterclass winners are:
